I could be happy supporting a Carly Fiorina–Ben Carson ticket.
I like her executive experience, and her willingness to speak her mind. I would love to see her debate Hillary Clinton.

I worry about Ben Carson’s lack of executive experience. But I like him a lot, and he’s a obviously extremely bright. He would grow rapidly into the vice presidential role.
This is far down my list of priorities, but I would also like the way in which such a ticket would defang many Democratic attacks in advance. Republican racism? It would be hard to make that look even remotely plausible with Ben Carson as the Republican vice presidential nominee. A Republican “war on women”? Try telling that to Ms. Fiorina.
It could be a transformative and historically pivotal campaign.
And it would be fun to see them come up against the excitingly youthful, refreshingly vibrant, new-ideas candidacies of, say, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, or Joe Biden.
I don’t know whether it will happen — probably not — but there are worse possibilities on the horizon.
