“How Old is the Bible?”

“How Old is the Bible?” September 26, 2016

The famous Leningrad Codex
The famous (and, to my taste, somewhat ironically named) Leningrad Codex is one of the oldest complete manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament. It dates to either AD 1008 or 1009.

Please, as you read it, keep the fact in mind that Joseph Smith’s claim of a sacred book written on metal plates has seemed absurd to many.  Now note the material on which the oldest known biblical text was written.
