Quote of the day II

“It always helps to have a bit of prayer in your back pocket. At the end of the day, you have to have something and for me that is God, Jesus, my Catholic upbringing, my faith…”

“God has been good to me. My faith has been good to me in the moments of deepest suffering, doubt and fear. It is a constant, the language of prayer … I might not have got my sums right from the Christian Brothers or might not have got the greatest learning of literature from them but I certainly got a strapping amount of faith.”

— Pierce Brosnan, speaking candidly here.

  1. Of course he is pro womens right to kill their baby and also has had multiple flings outside marriage that include making kids, but he is solid in his faith.

I suspect he must not have learned the right things from the Christian Brothers for he seems at odds with Catholic Church teaching.

Why do you seem to post so many thing in support of those in dissent of Church teaching. Just curious.

[I don’t support them, Greta. They just tend to make a lot of news. Dcn. G.]

  2. Must be slow news day when Pierce Brosnan is featured .
He continues to be part of ‘” R “” movies and it seems he is doing ” good ” works around the country, but the question remains : ” where is the fruit , the proof that he really has put his faith in Jesus Christ alone and has become a ” new creation. ”

[Good question, Jim. I need to ask that question of myself every day. I’m not always happy with the answer. Dcn. G. ]
