Let us drive or we give our breasts to foreign drivers: Saudi women

In a recent ruling, the Saudi clerics had declared that women workers cannot work with men. The only way for them to do so would be to breast-feed their co-workers, a practice enunciated by Mohammad.

Now, driving for women has been a touchy issue for long in Saudi Arabia. They are not allowed to work. But then they cannot be allowed to go in the cars alone with unmarried “other men” either. So, they have an issue!

The women have been demanding the right to drive. With this new announcement of Adult Breast-feeding, these women have come up with an interesting “workaround”: To breast-feed their drivers, who are mostly foreigners.

Drawing from the cleric’s advocacy, the women have reportedly chosen a slogan for their campaign that translates to, “We either be allowed to drive or breastfeed foreigners.”

Interestingly there are showrooms which sell cars to women – women car salespersons sell to women customers – just that they cannot drive. Basically, they are buying a car for their hubbies to drive them around in – since they cannot go alone with drivers alone anyways.
