Theological New Yorker Cartoons

A slide show with some of the most popular New Yorker cartoons came my way. Below are my favorites. Click through to see the whole collection.

I hope this gives you something to do to pass the time while stuck inside on this day of blizzard.

Long ago, like the 70s, I saw one on a bulletin board in Berkeley, with the prayer

I don’t want much, Lord, but what I have should be of the highest quality.

It had New Yorker written all over it (at least virtually, maybe not physically), and was perfectly suited to the times. Years before “yuppie” appeared (1984 per the OED).
