Has Pat reviewed “Brokeback Mountain”?

pats 01Honest, I had nothing to do with this! Besides, this “Christians Against Pat Speaking” petition isn’t much of a story at the moment, seeing as how it has only 25 online signatures. The opening sentence is a grabber, however:

We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to ministry over the years, but we are now asking that you please retire or at least stop making unfounded, insane-sounding comments and trying to pass them off as mainstream Christian thought. …

Moving right along, let me try to fire up some readers and comments by asking: Has the 700 Club reviewed “Brokeback Mountain” yet? Not so far.

Well, I get to be 26. Hoorah!

If the 700 Club reviewed the film, it would be just one more segment on how the homosexuals are ruining America. BoRING!

Well, by making this post, you are certainly lending that petition some support… not that I’m complaining.

I’m surprised that Pat hasn’t reviewed Brokeback Mountain yet. But I’m sure that when he does he’ll wish somebody death or proclaim God’s judgment upon them.

Let’s see … Ang Lee is Taiwanese. So let’s hope the evil Chi-Coms don’t attack. We’ll be hearing all about God using the evil Assyrians and Babylonians to punish Israel and Judah.

they haven’t reviewed it but they do reference it in contrast to The Producers….

    Wednesday AP story:
JERUSALEM – Israel has suspended contact with evangelist Pat Robertson for suggesting Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon’s stroke was divine punishment for withdrawing from the
    Gaza Strip.

The controversy has cast doubt on plans for a Christian tourism center that would showcase the growing flow of money and influence from U.S. church groups.

Thanks for the plug regarding my petition–we’re closing in on 100 signatures now & added about 15-20 per day. Maybe the action taken by Israel to pull their support of Pat’s vacation center will finally get his attention.

“My zeal, my love of Israel, and my concern for the future safety of your nation led me to make remarks which I can now view in retrospect as inappropriate and insensitive in light of a national grief experience because of your father’s illness,” Robertson wrote to [PM Sharon's son,] Omri Sharon.

“I ask your forgiveness and the forgiveness of the people of Israel for saying what was clearly insensitive at the time.”
