I did this a while ago at my place, and since my to-do list is longer than my arm and I’ve taken to referring to myself as a one-armed paper-hanger, I thought I’d use it here, too.
The Pope and the CEO: John Paul II’s Leadership Lessons to a Young Swiss Guard
by Andreas Widmer (Emmaus Road Publishing, 2011)
A business book take on JP2′s life and what we can learn from him. Perfect for him–or her! Well-written & engaging. Highly recommended.
Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
by C.S. Lewis (Harvest Book, 1956, Fiction)
As awesome as I expected from Lewis, though maybe my brain broke. I’m sure I missed a lot of references, but I enjoyed it all the same.
33 Days to Morning Glory: A Do-It-Yourself Retreat in Preparation for Marian Consecration
by Michael E. Gaitley, MIC (Marian Press, 2011)
One of the best Marian books I’ve read and sure to be a reread for me (which is saying something). Approachable and simple, yet profound.
