Venerate the Cross with Your Life

Do you ever have one of those days you wish you could bottle? Yesterday was one of those days for me.

But I couldn’t bottle it. And I put in a request but there was no extension. Those requests for 25-hour days and 35-day months just never do seem to get granted. The takeaway message was the message of the day, the message of Good Friday: Venerate the Cross with your life.

Maybe you focused on the Cross yesterday. Maybe not. Regardless, begin now! Make it a daily posture! Because never mind the fact we don’t get the 25th hour, there may not even be 24 hours left in our lives! Venerate the Cross with your life. Take up your Cross, doing so willingly and lovingly.

Christ, in His last words, faced that alone feeling, but lifts us up to where He was even hanging on the Cross: Utterly confident the Father had his back. That same confidence in our lives will make all the difference.

Let us pray for it in one another today and everyday.
