Have you read Pygmaian or The Doll House? Just curious because of your doll analogy

A personal relationship with Jesus is what you were missing in your childhood and young adulthood, and that rejection of Jesus Christ has estranged you from your family and caused you to go 180 degrees the other way. I want you to know that I am praying for you; that you would seek Jesus with your whole heart. He died a horrible death because His love for you is so great!! I know He will never reject you, no matter how long you have refused his salvation and indescribable love.

Romans 5:8: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We have 7 children. We did the PC/Q thing for many years. ATI, Bill Gothard, Michael Pearl.. We also ended up in a IFB church because it was a match. Then we left because it was like walking a tight rope. We didn’t leave God, Jesus and the Bible just that whole thing. Put the kids in school, they went to college and learned to think for themselves. Some have faith but from a bit more eclectic viewpoint with and understanding of other viewpoints.

Any of these posts could be mine. My father is one of the leading evolutionary scientists in the world, having defined the Cenozoic time line. I was raised on Steven J. Gould, E.O. Wilson, Jared Diamond, Hawkins and the like. I can embrace evolution and science and still get very excited about the Bible and basic life principles and whole passages and memorization and application. Call me schizophrenic. It’s a wonderful life. I loved your testimony. I think the whole shaping you to be a radiant woman of God was tearfully beautiful and powerful. What a gift your parents instilled in you, to serve, love, give and help others and then to think critically for yourself. Sure, there was disappointment on their part. It’s kinda like getting punched in the stomach. I don’t think it was puppet, doll deception. They didn’t lie to you. Lying is done with the intent to deceive. We originally came from tongue talking Pentecostalism so we have seen the dimension and power that fundies always deny and never experience. Having studies and done many religions including some of those 70s humanist workshops (like est) it’s kinda easy to discern fake stuff from real. (If there is any real) We all do some weird stuff as humans. Just think of sex, dancing, partying, college, army.
Only one question (and I don’t know if it is going to be possible to post this here) Look at this video and tell me if this girl was abusively groomed to perform or if she just decided out of her passion to follow her heart or if there is a difference:
