The Weapons of Our Warfare

The Weapons of Our Warfare July 24, 2012

Fantastic story over on Al Kresta’s site:

Not long ago, Gerry Brundage nervously signed up to lead a local 40 Days for Life campaign in his community of Sherman, Texas. He wasn’t sure if people would join their vigil outside of the local Planned Parenthood, or if they would see any results … but Gerry stepped out in faith.
Little did he know that the manager of the Planned Parenthood office would have a conversion and quit her job … and that the local Planned Parenthood would go out of business as a result!
David Bereit, our national 40 Days for Life director, joined Gerry and his team for the rally outside the closed-down Planned Parenthood office … and they were joined by Ramona Trevino — the former clinic manager — who praised God for closing down her former workplace, and thanked the volunteers for loving her out of Planned Parenthood.

Go see the video. This is my answer to those who say, “If we can’t lie for Jesus and tempt Planned Parenthood workers into committing mortal sin worthy of the everlasting fires of hell, how can we possibly defeat abortion?”

O ye of little faith, 40 Days for Life shows how. Ramona Trevino was given the truth and *loved* into turning her back on the abortion industry, not lied to and tempted into committing mortal sin worthy of the fires of hell by people who reduced her to an instrument. That is how this battle is fought according to the mind of Christ, who never lied nor tempted anybody, ever, for any reason, much less tempted them to be accomplices to murder.

We put no obstacle in any one’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, tumults, labors, watching, hunger; by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love, truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; in honor and dishonor, in ill repute and good repute…. For though we live in the world we are not carrying on a worldly war, for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds. (2 Cor 6:3-8; 10:3-4)

Well done, Gerry Brundage. Well done, 40 Days for Life. Well done, Ramona Trevino! Thank you and praise you, Holy Spirit!
