Our Ruling Class is Not Populated by Normal People

When normal people’s children fracture their girlfriend’s skull in a violent fit of rage, the parent responds with shock and anger at the violent kid and horror at the crime done.

When a member of our Ruling Class has a kid do this, his first and last thought is not about the victim, but about how it will affect him.  So he issues a press release saying, “I hope their privacy will be respected,” Congressman Moran told the paper. “They look forward to putting this embarrassing situation behind them.”

Yes. it’s all about the embarrassment, Congressman Moran.

Congressman Moron is more like it. Hope the woman heals quickly and has the strength and support to leave this abusive relationship.

What a pathetic excuse for a man.

I bow to no man in my disdain for our Ruling Class…but similar attitudes and instincts are found often enough among the parents of the college students I deal with.

This is a society problem, not a Ruling Class problem.

      You are probably right, but…

You might misunderstand Mark’s use of the term “ruling class”.

These parents, are they lawyers, doctors, financial planners, and successful local businessmen? Or are they sharecroppers and cubicle dwellers, as well as lower management types?

His term isn’t limited to the families of elected off(ici)als.

I believe the incidence of mental illness in the form of borderline psychopathy *is* off normal parameters in the political class. The Moran family is well known for a series of incidents that stretch back many years. Dad is a real piece of work and I’m not surprised junior’s following in his footsteps. It’s unfortunate and tragic that they haven’t repented and successfully found a way to change direction.
