Over at Standing on my Head…

Fr. Longenecker is having an interesting conversation with an Evangelical who is ripe for the engagement with the Catholic tradition that Sherry Weddell is describing in Forming Intentional Disciples.

Forming Intentional Disciples, if I have not mentioned it lately, is one of the most important books in English for the Church facing the challenge of the early 21st century.  If you care about the future of the Church–and about those to whom she is supposed to be the sacrament of salvation and a school of saints and not a mere sacramental vending machine–this is the essential book.  It is already having a significant impact and is only going to continue to do that.  It’s that good.  Buy one for yourself and one for a friend.  Start a conversation on how to put it into  practice.  We have a world to win.
