Ho. Lee. Cow!

My friend Tom just got famous:

He is, by the way, a fantastic violinist and you’ve heard him since he has played (along with his wife Virginia) on a zillion film and TV soundtracks. A few years ago, he very generously got us Sheas into Teatro Zinzanni here in Seattle, where he played in the band. Every couple of months, we have him and his clan over for Movie Night. Plus, he’s the guy that taught me about Carhenge as well as various other shrines to roadside kitsch. A great guy.

Oh, and his daughter Lana is a fine musician too!

Am I the only one who can’t see a link here? Please, please, do tell us what he’s famous for.

You need to watch the video Melissa. He showed up in an old school photo of Billy Gates, and happened to be rather nerdy that day. In the photo, Bill Gates is the one *without* glasses.

Due to a joke by a comedian about that, CBS tracked Tom down, did an interview with him, and showed the most recent photo of him and Billy G together- from their 25th high school reunion.
