Russell Shaw has a revised and expanded book out!

It’s called Catholic Laity in the Mission of the Church, and has a foreword by Yr. Obdt. Svt.

The book is available now on Amazon.com in both paperback and kindle versions.

Shaw has really thought this laity thing through and had some wise counsel for lay Catholics and clergy who are trying to see to it that the 99.9% of the Church who are lay take real advantage of the grace–and throw themselves into the mission–Jesus Christ entrusts to his holy Church.

Thanks for recommending this book, Mark. I’m about 3/4 of the way through it and I’m blown away by Shaw’s historical and theological analysis of the “problem” of the laity. I will definitely be recommending it to others. (In fact, I just ordered 30 copies to give to my colleagues in our diocesan offices.)
