On a hopeful note, if it is a robot it might be re-programmable to look after the common good . . . that would certainly be different.
However there is a big problem here, since it does not seem that nobody ever agree on what is the common good… So it would still depend a lot on the ideology of the person(s) doing the reprogramming.
And an even bigger problem are those on the Right claiming there’s no such thing as the common good (while those on the Left identify that common good with having the means to do whatever you want).
