Re: This headline:

Oxford University warns authors not to write about pork, bacon to avoid offending Muslims

Permit me to reply as follows: Bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon, bacon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I note that it does not appear that Muslims are demanding this, merely cowardly PC academics. At any rate, whoever is demanding this needs to understand that Muslims are welcome to not eat pork or hang around pigs, but they are not welcome, nor is Oxford University welcome, to demand that non-Muslims not enjoy–or talk about enjoying–a BLT, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, or Charlotte’s Web. Just as it is obnoxious to go out of one’s way to offend people, it is obnoxious to go out of one’s way to take offense at somebody else for not living by your particular sects ceremonial and cultic practices. I don’t demand everybody in the world fast on Ash Wednesday, Oxford. You don’t tell me what ritually unclean animals I can eat or discuss.

In short, normal people don’t need Sensitivity Training. Oxford needs Insensitivity Training.
