Meanwhile, I talked to the Diocese of Amarillo this AM and they tell me they are drowning in protest and share the feelings of the protesters in no uncertain terms. I’m told by other sources that there are efforts underway to figure out what to do in response to Fr. Pavone’s shocking and offensive act.
If you send an email to Bp. Zurek’s secretary she promises each one will be delivered to the bishop and will be helpful in making the case that Fr. Pavone’s actions were way out of line and necessitate discipline.
Personally, I’m hoping his bishop will silence him and remove him from this work. He is now doing immense damage both to the prolife cause and to his own soul with acts like this. Not to mention to the witness of the Church.
