Jan is showering, and I’m checking emails and posting a quickest note here to the blog. We’ve been put up at the Johnson & Wales Inn, a very nice facility if you ever find yourself in the general vicinity of Providence. Actually it’s a tad grand for the likes of us. But we can take it…

The worst thing so far is a small stain on the front of my dress shirt. I’m hoping it’s water…

We’re now fully caffinated and fed and almost ready to go. If all goes according to plan we’ll be leaving in twenty or thirty minutes intending to be at the church nineish or so.

Worship services begin at ten thirty. But there’s stuff to do. Among other things I need to check in with Cathy the rather impressive Director of Religious Education. We’re going to do a brief “what is a minister” story for the children’s moment. Usually something or other also pops up before services begin. And it’s nice to be around…

Later, of course, I preach. Then meetings, more meetings, finally followed by one more meeting.

I’m excited, and a tad more anxious than I would like to think I would be…
