Forgiveness just might be withheld in this case. This might be an unanswered prayer. Maybe he should ask forgiveness for always believing and doing what he is told.

You should never, ever ever ever, agree with the atheists.
there is no such thing as forgiveness. there is only understanding.
i liked this one so much i posted it to my personal FB wall, not just to my page where it would be preaching to the choir.
@Matt Oxley, “You should never, ever ever ever, agree with the atheists.” Oh I know…tell me about it! Those guys are nothing but trouble. Love your blog, btw.
i know some really nice atheists. some of whom visit this blog ,)
Have you been reading my mind David?
Better not pray this one out loud or I’ll be burnt at the stake.
For sure Dylan. David your definitely reading my mind and you must have been looking over my shoulder, yesterday.
Following is a reply to a comment I made about grace, law, gospel and Gods Love for all mankind, yesterday.
“Their is only one interpretation and that is the Fathers way his TRUTH not a made up truth that suits you, It seems GRACE is your gospel seems you have followed saul/paul rather? than follow Christ, their is still time to repent! and follow Christ but hurry time is fleeting. The LAW of the YaHWeH is perfect, converting the soul Psalms 19:7 Without the fathers LAWS how can he mould you into his image? how can he make you perfect? Man cannot live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD!! Every word includes all his laws not just some here n some there which suite you. Repent friend? and return to the Fathers Flock.”
yes hugs ‘n jesus… that sounds very familiar!
That’s the dumbest prayer I have heard (read).
God is going to be OK with someone agreeing that it is just fine if people do not believe in Him…or trust in His forgiveness for their SINS (there, I said the S word).
That would be like a child coming home and telling the father that “Johnny down the street says that Mr. Johnson around the corner is really my dad.”
The father would say, “yes..it’s ok if you want to believe that.”
What kind of dope are you guys smokin’?
@Steve Martin, “God is going to be OK with someone agreeing that it is just fine if people do not believe in Him…or trust in His forgiveness for their SINS…” Really? Explain hell. Also explain how you can claim to know the mind of a deity. If you have it all figured out, then why are there so damn many denominations and sects? Maybe you are the only one that got it right? If so, congratulations and pass the bong please! “That would be like a child coming home and telling the father that “Johnny down the street says that Mr. Johnson around the corner is really my dad.” Uh, no it wouldn’t. Horrible analogy. In your scenario, the father doesn’t kill people for disobeying, condemn folks to hell for picking up firewood on the wrong day, encourage or justify rape, slavery, etc. Like it or not, your god does all these things; well, if he was real he does. Happily, he’s not real. What kind of dope are YOU smoking?!
This cartoon so made me laugh out loud! Quirky sense of humour our naked pastor has. By the way, I’ve changed my title because there’s another Crystal out there. She sounds a lot like me, but just in case we clash, it’s best to keep our identity.
haha, nice comic. However, I’d like to point out that this is only a problem in America. I am from a European country (brought up roman catholic, now non-believer) and I have to say the particular church I grew up in never preacher about sexual orientation (your business, everyone’s welcome), considered other religions as allies. Religion was personal and a guideline for your own life (not your neighbors)and your own behavior. period. I don’t understand american christians at all.
The problem with the prayer is the first line. The rest is solid.
