Love it! “God is no respecter or persons”
That piece of scripture seemed troublesome until I learned that a “person” was at least originally: a “sound-through (per-sonic)–the megaphone on the masque of the player (hypocrite) in Greek drama. Persona. Not a thing. Sentence sayer as opposed to word.

No respecter OF persons, damnit. Not “or” See how sentences occlude the WORD. Mine do. That’s for sure. Letter of the law on the one hand. Spirit of the law on the other. And how come the 2 don’t Just Get Along. (The sound of only one hand clapping.)

Hahaha!! This is a good one David. I can’t wait to weave that into a conversation with one of my more conservative friends. lol

It’s the long pauses between words with which I struggle. I find myself forgetting what has already been uttered, trying to predict the next word, or just rolling my eyes and walking away because my stomach is grumbling and I’m tired of waiting for the so-called manna. Sad maybe, but that’s where I’m at right now.

@ ttm I agree with your statement ~It’s the long pauses between words with which I struggle.
