prayer from the cell: no separation

prayer from the cell no separation by nakedpastor david hayward

The only separation is in our minds. All is one. Fluid like a river. Impermanent. Astoundingly beautiful. And we are caught up in that beauty.

I invite you to where we learn how to swim together with joy and love in this river! Tomorrow night we are having a webinar. I hope you can join us.

What Are Your Thoughts?leave a comment
  • Cool. Like what Thich Nhat Hanh said, “We are here to awake from the illusion of separateness.” Yes, separateness and separation are an illusion of the mind.

  • That is quite true for those whom He knows and those who trust in Him…and not in themselves and what they do…or don’t do.

  • any other caveats there Steve? if you would have been involved in the writing of the bible it would have been 10 times longer with all those conditions.

    Nothing seperates?

Along the lines of Steve’s comment, I recall learning that this verse had been shorter in the original manuscripts: “[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, .” Ro 8:1.

The older original manuscripts did not have the phrase in brackets.

But now that I am in my 50’s, I get it. We humans add caveats because the scriptures ‘simply’ must be in error… after all, we cannot comprehend God’s thoughts – they truly are higher than ours.

“For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth , so are my ways higher than your ways , and my thoughts than your thoughts .” Is 55

I think that part of the Christian experience is growing in humility towards the single God that speaks through so many prophets across so much time… we only know now in part.

Much love in Christ always and unconditionally; Caryn

Ooops … here is the whole KJV, with the brackets: “[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, [who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit].” Ro 8:1

Now, my previous post makes a bit more sense….

Romans 8 – Walking in the spirit.

“There is now, no condemnation to those who are in Christ who now walk not after the flesh but after the spirit”
This is all after whats mentioned in the first seven chapters including homosexuality.

Its important to note the beginning in Romans Chapter 1 and Paul’s setting the stage for the following chapters. He clearly shows what a spiritual decline looks like behaviorly and proceeds onward to Chapter 6 (The realization of of boundless grace and the equally realization that grace is for growth not continuance in those things mentioned in chapter one.)

Chapter 7 is the wilderness experience of learning how to walk with God but the error of trying to self will/discipline ourselves to walk ‘right’ and ‘do’ right.

Chapter 8 is the walking in the spirit and victory through our focus on the work accomplished on the cross by Christ.

I fully understand the good intention by the cartoon but we must be careful to lead people precisely as Christ would and not justify another gospel because of the errors of insensitivity within some churches today.
