one minute message: weeds among the wheat

Maybe what we think are our weaknesses are necessary for what we think are our strengths.

A great read in this regard is Thomas H. Green, S.J., Weeds Among the Wheat.

    Interesting, David.

I never thought about that passage as referring to our individual traits and strengths and weaknesses. I always thought it referred to those in the church who belonged to Christ…and those who did not.

And to not judge which was which because we cannot know the heart and who is in Christ and who is not.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV)
Through our weaknesses God makes us strong.
