Sometimes I just want the picture to speak for itself.

Today is such a day.

I am a Christian and love the Lord, but this had always been my biggest beef! Why do churches keep God locked up inside? And why do I see these huge multi million dollar churches being built or have been built when there are hungry people out there????

Your title is “two differing views of the church” and the point is very instructive for church-goers (or those who have left). But I thought of how it, from a different angle, it could be “two different views of God”. And while view it that way, I thought of a fun way of symbolizing a THIRD view of “God”. You know the fadish use of “G-d” (a pseudo-Hebrew-Name-fearing move) — well, I could see the three as:
    (1) G-o-d
    (2) G-d
    (3) -O-

Wouldn’t the third be even more refreshing that the word “God” with a little church in it?

I think those in power in the Church fear that many will figure this out.

    Yes.
