John Pattison is co-author of Besides the Bible: 100 Books that Have, Should, or Will Create Christian Culture (Biblica, 2010). He is Deputy Editor of the Burnside Writers Collective and a regular contributor to RELEVANT and Neue magazines. A member of the National Book Critics Circle, John’s articles, essays, and reviews have also appeared in Books & Culture and the Englewood Review of Books, in newspapers around the country, and as part of Powells.com’s Review-a-Day program.
In 2007, John co-founded Cascadia Resource Consultants, a grant writing and fund development firm that has secured more than $32.5 million in grant funding for its clients, including school districts, colleges and universities, and nonprofit organizations.
He lives in Silverton, Oregon with his wife, Kate, and their daughter, Molly. They are a part of Silverton Friends Church. There is a pond next to their house with fish, ducks, geese, and a mythical beaver no human has ever seen.
