Comic Book Geekery & Dresses

Okay, I admit it; I am a fan of the X-men comic books, circa 1990′s.

Here is some dish and talk about costumes. It’s only for the seriously engaged or for Tim Gunn fans.

If you’re into dresses, I love this site

About Elizabeth Scalia

Oh man, me too! For a grandmother in her early fifties, I’m a terrible, er…tremendous…comic book and sci-fi geek. And the X-men of the 1990′s were among the best!

  • Ellen

Yep, another comic book geek grandma here. While I love the X-Men with a fierce love, I have to say that when it comes to costumes, Batman has the best.

Another fervent 54 yr old X-men geek. But dearest to my heart is devout Catholic Kurt Wagner, the Nightcrawler. Kurt in priestly vestments was beautiful, and it saddened me when the next writer to take over after that couldn’t handle a hero with a vocation, so changed the story of his ordination into a dream engineered by the bad guys to control his mind.

Second favorite is Kurt as a pirate. (Jack Sparrow, move over. Can you handle three swords? Awwe, no tail? So sorry, dear.)

    My Dear Anchoress.

My Wife loves X-Men as well. Angel is her fave’. I got her the complete collection on disk for her to read on her computer.

    Have a Blessed Day!

Love the dress website. I wear dresses all the time. Wish I could order a dress from the website but I don’t see any petite sizes. Always a problem for the short gals like me. Maybe some shoes or a handbag instead. Oh the joy of being a girl!

If you’re petite, you can just go to vintage clothing shops instead. You have the right figure and height for it.

This website is for those of us who go to vintage clothing shops and can’t find a single thing that will fit over our bodies. :)
