A Weeper from Deacon Greg

Just go.

Read, watch, sigh. Sniffle into your kleenex. Marvel.

Yes, why does it seem like people aren’t that nice, anymore?

Obi’s Sister has a fond look, also.

Thanks for the kleenex warning. That was special. The good news is that there still are people that nice out there. The bad news is that the hollywood no longer has a interest in airing shows of that type.

Because it’s cool now to be edgy and abrasive, instead of gentle and sincere. And humanity is the lesser for it.

I wrote a tribute post to Art as well – here.

When you watch the old video of Art’s show, you can see that he exudes the love and joy of Christ. So beautiful!

  • Mimsy

The tributes are wonderful (thanks, Obi’s sis, too).
He was one of God’s great works of Art. Just beautiful!

He was a wonderful man. Thank you for posting this.

That was lovely. It was especially nice to see Mr. Linkletters kindness returned to him in the form of an audience full of his former guests – what love they had for him!

That was wonderful. I found one detail in that bio in the Deacon’s blog most interesting. He was married to the same woman since 1935. That’s like 75 years of marriage. Incredible.

Turn your head and look the other way, Anchoress, there are nice, kind, beautiful, warm, generous people everywhere! There is no shortage of them. They’re just quietly lost in the loud presentation of the ugly (i.e, Pretty Wild), but they are breaking through the cracks and blooming. There is a distinct division growing in this country. It is between the pretty and the ugly, and I’m not talking about looks.
