“Actually, we have no problems – we have opportunities for which we should give thanks.”
~Edgar Cayce
In Part 1 of this article, we discovered ancient dreams, and how past President Bill Clinton and current President Donald Trump are both Fire Dogs, but only one of them is a Dog-President in a Dog-Year, which affects their personality. And, why only one of them does not have a dog.
A stroll down Memory Lane gave us insight into the cheeky Fire Monkey of 2016 who held an essential connection to the birth of the American Republic, and the strutting Fire Rooster of 2017. There were surprises concerning some famous people in both Chinese Zodiac signs.
We also peered into the etheric world of dreams. Dreams have been a part of divination, and life and death since ancient Egypt, Greece, and the Shang Dynasty about 4, 000 years ago. However, divination dreams are not only something of the past as shared in a recent article in Epoch Times and the book Dreams That Can Save Your Life filled with current research and patient stories of Prophetic and Diagnostic Dreams that were divination validated by pathology reports. However, dreams are not the only similarities between the Chinese and Western Zodiac
Differences and Similarities between the Chinese and Western Zodiac
The difference in signs between Chinese and Western zodiacs can be seen by the Western zodiac signs posted after the Chinese zodiac signs in the 2018 predictions below concerning finances, love, and dreams for the future. For example, if your Western zodiac sign is Sagittarius, the 12th sign of the Western lunar year, it is very different from the 12th Chinese zodiac sign of the Pig. That is because The Chinese zodiac signs are based on birth years while the Western zodiac is based on birth months. However, the similarities between the two systems are that they are both based on date and time of birth, with 12 symbols or signs used to communicate meaning.
And that brings us up to 2018 and The Brown Earth Dog who is all about ACTION!
Chinese New Year 2018 begins on Friday, February 16 and ends on February 4, 2019. The Dog occupies the eleventh position in the Chinese zodiac. You are a Dog Chinese zodiac animal if you were born in one of these years: 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and 2018.
2018 may be a good year in many respects. However, it may also be an exhausting year because this Brown Dog likes action and is high energy. See Dog run. This translates to “you will be happy, yet frustrated; rested yet tired, cheerful, yet a bit bored when things temporarily slow down. Speed can be addicting.
Expect your love-life libido to find a new love-energy level.
Planning and negligence are words you will need to remove from your vocabulary and replace them with refresh and regenerate. The Dog will accelerate the initiation of all things which will bring pressure and stress in your everyday life if you are not high energy. This sounds much like having a new puppy.
According to Chinese astrology, the Year of the Dog is a terrific year regarding the financial aspects of your life. However, in the year of the Dog, all zodiac signs will want to pay particular attention to their health and wellbeing. This is an excellent time to start eating healthy foods and get rid of bad old habits and start a new sport as exercise. This may be a perfect opportunity to meet new people, and love prospects if you are single.
Dreams, the Zodiac, and You
Since the Shang Dynasty about 4,000 years ago, dreams have been an essential part of Chinese life and death. According to Epoch Times the ancient Chinese placed a high value on dreams as a means of exploring the world of spirits. Masters in the Daoist School of Spiritual Cultivation teach how the dream is commonly seen in Chinese folklore and legends as an allegory for the human condition in the “real world.” Animals in dreams can be seen as spirit guides or extremely helpful in gaining insight into ourselves-into our psyche. According to research in the book Dreams That Can Save Your Life: Early Warning Signs of Cancer and Other Diseases, the Chinese, the ancient Egyptians, and Greeks also took dreams not to be mere figments of the subconscious, but as complete worlds beyond our own. In ancient China, the Shang court and aristocracy employed officials who specialized in the field of dreams and acted as dream interpreters, as it was believed that dreams reflect good or bad fortune in the zodiac and all aspects of life, but especially in health, love, and finances.
A Sneak Peek at What Finances, Love, and Dreams Hold for You in 2018
Find your Chinese Zodiac sign by locating the year you were born to see what is in store for you in 2018.
1st Chinese Zodiac Sign-Rat (Western Zodiac Aries)- born in the years 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008. This year will be kind to you. You may be filled with vague feelings of dissatisfaction even though things will seem to be going well. Don’t worry. Ignore the insidious little voice in your head that will invite you to see things only in black and white. These feelings will pass if you look at your life with a sense of serenity.
Finance: Do not let financial debt burden your worries for there are other things in life that are more crucial. Stay focused on what is of economic importance to you and your family.
Love: As a couple, you will see to it that your love-life has special moments carved out of the fast-paced dog-day-afternoon. If you are married, this year will be about strengthening the ties that bind you through communication. If you are single this is a time to have more patience with love in the Universe. You will have moments of emotional outbursts but do not be alarmed. It is a cathartic purging and necessary to move forward.
Dreams: As a Rat, you are an intelligent creature who is almost impossible to fool. This is one of the reasons relationships are a challenge for you. And, the old saying, “It takes one to know one,” holds special meaning for you in your dreams. Seeing your zodiac animal in a dream is a reason for caution. Although it may be an aspect of yourself, you could perhaps smell a rat in your waking life. Your dreams in 2018 will focus on survival in all types of situations. Be alert to inner-guidance and keep a dream journal to track your dreams.
2nd Chinese Zodiac Sign-Ox (Western Zodiac Taurus) – born in the years 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1979, 2009, 2021. This is the year to make good decisions. And, for the most part, this will be an outstanding year for you. The Dog energy of 2018 predicts that during this year your focus will be on the sectors related to relationships with others to the exclusion of yourself. Spend time with yourself. Learn to love yourself first and others second. For far too long you found it difficult to draw boundaries that were respected, and to say “No!” and mean it. On this issue be stubborn like an Ox. This is the year you must find the power in your convictions to respect yourself, and by doing so gain respect from others. Whether in your work, love affairs or family life, do not make any decisions without foreseeing the consequences to you. Good fortune will smile upon you if you smile on yourself first. If you act rather than react you’ll find solutions that will triumph over any difficulties.
Finance: There may be some concern if you have a substantial investment in the stock market. The uncertainty in the market performance is going to continue for some time before it finds a balance later in the year. Be wise about your financial decisions. Be careful with your new environment at work.
Love: As you may already know, you are not the most relaxed person in the world with which to live. This year you may find yourself slightly demanding in love but if you do not ask too much of the person who holds your heart you can expect faithfulness and a long-term commitment. If you wish to live in a stable and authentic relationship this is the year of satisfaction.
Dream: An ox in a dream often means to look for the strength and understanding in a current situation. An ox is also a beast of burden. What burdens from your waking life are you trying to work through in your dreams? Your dreams in 2018 will focus on people and places in your past life that are affecting your current one life. Use the guidance in your dreams to stabilize your love life and financial life.
