Changes On The Horizon

When I started this blog 2 1/2 years ago, I wanted to cultivate space where I could share my thoughts and reflections on life, faith, and journey. I also wanted to offer spiritual encouragement via writing prayers and devotionals as I felt led.

Those things weren’t necessarily one in the same. Actually, they were very separate in my mind hence my tagline being “One voice. Two tones”.

I had a conversation last night and realized that my voice is no longer split. There’s no longer a need for me to compartmentalize my thoughts like I had over the course of this journey.

That said, things are going to change around here…

In recognition of my growth as a writer, minister, justice worker, and as a person (read: grown ass woman…I’m 30 y’all), I am shifting some things around on Chasing the Promise.

I’m different than I was almost 3 years ago and things like my bio, content, and even language are going to shift.

I recognize my inconsistency in writing and want to amend that in this season (I’m FINALLY done with grad school…Praise God).

I have new opportunities, relationships, and experiences to reflect on and share in this space.

When it boils down to it, I want this space to be a better reflection of who I am, what I believe, and what (or who ;*) I’m passionate about.

Thanks to all who’ve rocked with me so far. I look forward to the times ahead!
