: US Senator Renews Call to Implement Racial Profiling

Looks like politicians are running out of excuses in the midst of scandals that the CIA and FBI had information on the 9/11 hijackers, but failed to put it to good use. One person who seems to be getting desperate is Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who renewed her call for racial profiling last Sunday on CNN’s “Late Edition”. She accused US authorities of being too afraid of being accused of racial profiling of Arab Americans to effectively track down terrorists by nationality. “If you take a look at it, at this stage at least, one isn’t going to look for blond Norwegians,” said Feinstein, apparently forgetting a constituent of hers (John Walker Lindh) who, although not blond, is white enough to get past any racial dragnet.
