Ten Self-Care Tips for Faith-Based Activists

Many of us need space to clear our minds and find balance. Personally, I like to find nature spots — a beach, a park or any place with greenery to simply sit, do dhikr, read Quran, pray and reconnect with Allah. This doesn’t necessarily need to be outdoors, but can even be within your house or apartment. Delineate a space where it’s your spiritual corner or your meditative space. Make it a sacred space by having a prayer mat, a small bookshelf for your Quran and other books or even an oud stand and oud or incense.
