9. Create Teachable Moments

A great way to build a bond with a new Muslim is to create teachable moments with them. This means, for example, when you eat you say bismillah and remind a new Muslim to do the same and why we say it. This will help build up good habits and also help them gain taqwa in all times of their life. This also means advising them on bad habits they may have and providing them positive feedback on how to change those bad habits or actions. Again, be careful here. No one wants to be picked on all the time or constantly taught or lectured to. Find good moments here and there.
