Summer Plans – Courses, Conferences, and more

Spring is not yet here (definitely not in Missoula as we just received a massive flurry of snow) and I’m already planning for summer. It’s a bit unlike me, but lets give it a whirl.

Journal articles and book chapters I hope to write:

Christmas & Philosophy:The Perfect Stocking Stuffer (a book)

· Abstract of paper (approximately 250 words) due by March 15, 2009
· Accepted authors will receive notification by April 15, 2009
· Accepted papers must be submitted by September 1, 2009
· Final papers must be between 4000-5000 words

The UK Association of Buddhist Studies
will hold its 2009 conference some time in July in London (hopefully I can be there then!)

Actually I think that’s about it for writing. I should try to get something together for the Journal of Buddhist Ethics by June though, along with my scheduled talk at UM on “Buddhist Meditation as a Moral Activity” coming up in April. Oh, and then there’s that pesky thesis work…

Looks like there are a couple deadlines looming, so I’d best be off to work! The idea of jumping from a Castle in Cork to London and China dies sound appealing…

Any suggestions are always welcome.
