3. Stay connected throughout the work day.
Texting, phone calls, and even certain apps are simple, yet effective ways to stay in touch throughout the day that will not disrupt even the most stringent of workplaces. Texting is an especially easy way to check in and see how your spouse’s day is going. Send him/her a funny video or Bible verse to encourage him/her. Even better, send a flirtatious text to ramp up the romance. Try to keep it positive. Whether just checking in or sending him/her your favorite funny cat video of the day, it’s important to make the effort to stay connected throughout the day. And, it just might give you both something to talk about when you get home.
