5.  “I’m so glad you are my wife.”

This is huge.  As wives, we want to know that our husband views marrying us was one of the best decisions of their lives.  We don’t want to feel like we are the old “ball and chain.”  I think I could do a whole blog on how much I HATE that expression.  I know it’s an older phrase, but I still hear some husbands jokingly use those words to describe their wives today.  And, I see the wives cringing on the inside while they force a smile.  It’s just terrible.

Husbands, your wife doesn’t want to feel like you are with her because she trapped you in some way.  She never wants to feel like she holds you down in any way.  Your wife wants to know that you feel like you hit the jackpot when she married you.  And, you can let her know this by telling her that you are so glad that she is your wife.
