3. They realize that the secret to a strong marriage is hard work.
When asked the “secret” to their amazing marriage, Chip said,
“There’s no secret. It’s hard work. Jo and I have struggles and fighting and arguments just like anybody else. This isn’t like we got lucky and hit the lottery and the two perfect people fell in love.”
Love that! It’s the truth. A strong marriage takes continuous time, attention, and work. It takes both partners putting the other before themselves. It takes commitment, understanding, love, and respect.
I’ve loved watching Chip and Jo use their platform for good, and it is my hope and prayer that they continue to serve as a great example of what a happy, thriving, and lifelong marriage can look like.
