THE RESURRECTION OF GAVIN STONE
A funny, faithful romantic comedy? Is there such a thing? For the first time (or maybe the second if you liked MOM’S NIGHT OUT) the answer is…absolutely yes. Starring Bret Dalton of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D fame, Angelah Johnson-Reyes (who was actually a restaurant hostess in MOM’S NIGHT OUT) and WWE legend Shawn Michaels, it is an inspirational comedy about faith and forgiveness. Gavin Stone, a washed-up former child star, is forced to do community service at a local megachurch and pretends to be Christian so he can land the part of Jesus in their annual Passion Play, only to discover that the most important role of his life is far from Hollywood.
This kind of movie is LONG overdue, look for millions of couples to do dinner and a movie when it opens in January.
