Can’t Find The Time To Pray?

Sometimes it’s difficult to find time to pray. And even if you do have the time, it can be challenging to get away to a quiet place. Believe it or not, Jesus faced the same challenge. I wrote about it in my book – Stop Worrying & Start Living (2016, Dynamic Catholic). If you just can’t find the time to pray, take a look at what Jesus did. You might want to follow his example…

But He withdrew to the wilderness and prayed. (Luke 5:16)

Jesus was busy . . . very busy! With miracles to be performed and lessons to be taught, he was always on the go. Well, not always. Despite the fact that he led a very active life, Jesus carved out time to converse with his Father in prayer. We should pay attention and follow his example. As a self-employed speaker and author, I can easily fall into the trap of working nonstop. But that would be a disastrous move on my part. Without God’s help not only would my work fall apart, but so would my life. Jesus understood the importance of prayer and took time out of his busy schedule to pray. No matter how much you have on your plate, you’re not busier than Jesus. If he could find time to pray, so can you.

Jesus, sometimes I rush around so much that I forget how important it is to spend time with you. I will make an effort to pray throughout the day.
