While some of you may have sampled the Lindisfarne Gospels online, or perhaps even in the British Museum, I’m betting few of you have made the trek to Lindisfarne Island, a tidal island (which means you can drive there when the tide is low), famous for its monks like St. Oswald. The connection between Lindisfarne and Durham is important as well, but that’s story for another day. Here are some pictures from my last pilgrimage to Lindisfarne…..
