69 and Feeling Fine

69 and Feeling Fine December 30, 2020

Today is my 69th birthday, and so the beginning of my 70th year on dear old planet earth.  I was thinking back about Christmas mishaps of the past, for example the day our red tabby cat, Yellowball, decided to climb the Christmas tree and swat at the bubble lights.  The tree came crashing down breaking not only those lights but various ornaments as well. This was back in the 60s when we still lived in High Point N.C. at 602 West Lexington Ave.   It took a good while to find where the cat went to hide and repent of his sins…. finally finding him cowering under my bed.   But these troubles were as nothing compared to the Australian family that recently discovered a koala had snuck into their house (remembering its summer in December down under and windows and doors are often open at this time of year)… and then climbed their Christmas tree……..  Here is the ocular proof.

AMANDA MCCORMICK / CATERS NEWS – (PICTURED A KOALA IN A CHRISTMAS TREE) An adorable festive koala had broken into an unsuspecting couple’s home and set up camp in their Christmas tree. Jeremy and Amanda McCormick, 44, got the shock of their lives after returning to their home in Adelaide, South Australia, to find a very cute koala happily perched in their Christmas tree. The couple discovered the iconic Aussie animal yesterday [2 DEC] after returning home from work. Their adorable visitor was then taken outside by a koala rescue team and is now happily back outside chewing on gum leaves.
