Into Turkey– Part Forty-One December 20, 2022

This will be the last Turkey post until the New Year when we will return with a series of posts on Cappadocia.

The large stadium at the bottom of the main roads in Ephesus is impressive, and suggests a considerable population of this city when it was built— perhaps as many as a quarter of a million.

Unfortunately, one of my tour group nearly went down for the count due to an out of control Roman centurion…. 🙂

This stadium is so large there are tunnels under it, leading to exits, and the higher levels of seats…

Needless to say, there is still much to do to restore numerous places  on this site…

But at least not all of the arches are fallen (note the keystone in the top holding the arch together… just like the NT says Jesus does…)
