Cirque du Soleil— OVO! Part One

Cirque du Soleil— OVO! Part One September 13, 2024

I’ve seen the Circque before in Chicago, but not this show, and this one was miles better than the Chicago one.  Spectacular acrobatics, a climbing wall, lots of enjoyable music and singing, colorful costumes— and a theme, in this case OVO i.e. eggs.  Oh did I mention bugs— including a rather portly ladybug playing hard to get….  The show was about 2 hours long with a 20 minute intermission. Here’s some fun shots from the show which we saw the last day of August.

This woman was ridiculously flexible and double-jointed and just when we thought she couldn’t do any more contorsions she then suspended herself using her mouth!

There was a colorful constantly changing climbing wall from which there was all sorts of climbing jumping on trampolines and just hanging out…  who knew there were windows in a climbing wall?

And where would this show be without bugs, and then really weird bugs…

And yes that’s a bug carrying a giant egg.
