Jim Martin posted this on Facebook today and I found it to be fascinating. The disproportion in Italy makes sense because of the history of the region and the evolution of what a Cardinal is, however I did find it fascinating how few there were in Latin America compared to the plethora we have in the USA and Canada. It would be interesting to see in the total population and wealth of a region have a stronger correlation to number of cardinals than the Catholic population. Anyone feel like making that chart?
