New G+ Community on Social Media and the Church

New G+ Community on Social Media and the Church November 6, 2013

Yes, smarty-pants, I said Google+.

While I know that many church folks (at least in my circle) have not rushed over to google+, too many people whom I trust are saying G+ the place that will still be standing at the end of the day. I have been using G+ a little more over the past couple of months than usual mostly via a few communities of which I am a part. I have found that with good moderating and clear expectations, these groups have been focused and helpful.

So . . . I have started a group where folks are invited to ask and respond to questions about the use of social media and technology in the church. Links can be shared sparingly, but this will not be a place where folks can shill their own stuff . . . well except for me 😉

What I am hoping for this group that people will ask questions of all kinds from the practical, “How do I . . .?” to the theoretical, “What do folks think about . . .?” the community will respond, prod, inquire, support, etc. and together we will get just a little closer to what should actually be happening in our communities.

If you would like to be part of the group either because you like the topic or you just want to see about this google+ [CLICK HERE] and request to join. I’ll approve you and then you can introduce yourself to the group.
