My life through the Lens…

My life through the Lens… March 5, 2011

Taking photographs helps me to work on gratitude.  I love especially to photograph weddings, where I focus on the beautiful details.  These details matter to me because they were considered carefully by the bride months before, but they are lost in a joyous blur of beauty on the actual day.  No one flower makes the wedding, but hopefully the details all come together to create the atmosphere that the bride and groom were dreaming of for their wedding.  Isn’t the same true for our home life?  Each corner, decorated or neglected, is lived in, and moments are strung together to build a life.  What is the atmosphere that our children will remember about our family?  This month, I decided to try photographing my every day life, so that I would also notice the beautiful details there.  I took candid pictures, so often my children have dirty faces or you can see the clutter in my kitchen, but when I put them all together I was really overwhelmed by the joy and blessings that I saw in our everyday life.

I have posted many of these photos on my family blog, The Bears Picnic, you are welcome to visit if you would like.
