Faith & Family : Features : Got Stress?.
I thought that this was wonderful, and I am going to share it with many people. I have also been keeping a mental list of things that I don’t have to worry about, and helping any worry-prone children do the same. For example, I no longer have to worry (as I did for the first 20 years of my life) about whether I will meet/marry someone wonderful. I no longer have to worry about potty training, as I have trained 5/6 of my children and feel confident about the remaining one, or any who follow. I no longer have to worry about when my twins will wean (they did so six years ago). We keep a family gratitude notebook, but I am going to encourage each child to keep a positive notebook this year as part of school.
New stresses are always cropping up, but it is so helpful to know that old ones, mostly, resolve. This puts the new ones in perspective, too, as everything usually works out, one way or the other, even if the result was not what I expected.
