I want to remember…

I want to remember… August 26, 2011

I want to remember mornings like this, when I feel pulled in so many directions.

I want to remember the sweet hands and voices the beckon me to join them in bed-top, made-from-scratch Lego games.

I want to remember how much I’m needed–for breakfast, for snuggles, for doling out medicine, for walking the dog.

I want to remember the sweet play on the floor of the living room.

I want to remember the smiles and laughter and even the arguments.

I want to remember the laundry still sitting in the washing machine for the second day-in-a-row, undone and forgotten because life has gotten the better of me.

I want to remember the heroic healing of my T-man over the past week.

I want to remember the two little boys standing beside me, waiting for me to get done with my blog post so I can love on them.

I want to remember the busyness and franticness of these days.

Because it means I’m living life to the full; a life lived for my family and for His Glory.

Have a listen to one of our favorites these days…  May it inspire you as it has us!!

B-mama, I totally agree. I need this kind of reminder again and again. I am such a sap and love that song “100 Years” by Five for Fighting. It talks about the 99 year old who is dying for just one more moment. Right now, our lives are so full of “moments” that we are treading water to juggle them all. I need to constantly remember to savor these moments. When I’m old, I know my heart will ache missing these days.

Thank you for reminding me about the laundry I have sitting in the washing machine!! Lol! Life is full and good here too! I am needed and joyfully answer the call of my babes…. Well, most of the time!

Love it, B-Mama! Yes, you are so right, all of these things mean that we are living life to the fullest, and that is so good. As we add more children to our family, I am even more impacted by those small moments that I get to spend with each individual child, maybe because I don’t take them for granted as much.
