St. Therese of Lisieux

St. Therese of Lisieux October 1, 2012

On the Feast of St. Therese, my son decided to read aloud the prayer in his book of saints at breakfast. Among other things, he asked for St. Therese’s “interception” 🙂 He wanted to take the book with him to school so that he could share the prayer with his class, and I’m secretly hoping that he didn’t correct himself – I think that his teachers, one of them a football coach, would get a good chuckle.

I always think of Kellie’s sweet baby Therese Joy on October 1st, and this year I even remembered to pray the St. Therese novena because of this great tool. Here is a link to a nice bio of St. Therese, and below is one of my favorite quotes from one of her letters – happy Feast Day, St. Therese!

Time is but a shadow, a dream; already God sees us in glory and takes joy in our eternal beatitude. How this thought helps my soul! I understand then why He lets us suffer…
