Quote of the Day
Thy Geekdom Come@ThyGeekdomCome (Jul 25, 2023) A man whose wife is not interested in fulfilling the marital debt at some specific time should take the opportunity to practice marital continence, to love his wife even then, and even if he is upset, and to, frankly, get over himself.
And like the Good Samaritan, his concern should not be that his wife fulfills her role, but that he fulfills his: “What can I do to better love her? How can I be a better husband in this moment?”

In his apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, Pope Francis reminds us of the importance of grandparents in family life and how their role can be fundamental in transmitting the Catholic faith to future generations. The Holy Father invites us to reflect on the importance of this intergenerational connection and its impact on the spiritual growth of our families.
“Very often it is grandparents who ensure that the most important values are passed down to their grandchildren, and ‘many people can testify that they owe their initiation into the Christian life to their grandparents,’” noted the pope. Quote of the Day
Edward Feser@FeserEdward (Jul 27, 2023) Certain LeftCaths and RadTrads seem to be united on the strange proposition that you either have to approve of everything that Pope Francis says and does or of nothing that he says and does. Hence the one side cannot bear hearing the mildest criticism of him, and the other side cannot bear hearing the mildest defense of him. It’s hard to believe so many otherwise intelligent people could be so simpleminded, but there it is.
