If you have never heard of Bonnie Engstrom and her blog “A Knotted Life” now might be a good a time as any to check it out. I first became aware of her blog myself after reading one of the most moving blog posts I have ever read. Bonnie is the mother of James Fulton, who was stillborn September 16, 2010. The story does not end there thanks to an alleged miracle. After 61 minutes with no pulse…..James Fulton came back to life. This alleged miracle was the one chosen by the Sheen Foundation to use as the official alleged miracle for the beatification of Venerable Fulton Sheen. You can read the entire story here.
Every year since 2013 Bonnie has assembled what she has called The Sheenazing Awards. As she states on her blog : “The Sheenazing Blogger Awards get their name from Venerable Fulton J. Sheen, who was amazing at using the newest forms of media to communicate the beauty of the Catholic Church and his love of Christ to the world. They are a fun way to celebrate the excellence of the Catholic blogosphere and honor Venerable Sheen.”
I am deeply humbled and honored to be nominated in the category “Best Blog by a Man” for the second year in a row. If you feel so inclined head on over and vote. More importantly check out the impressive list of blogs in a wide range of categories. I have enjoyed this list each year because there are always some I have never read before. Here’s the link and have some fun with the 2015 Sheenazing Awards!
