The scary messages are out — ECLIPSES ARE COMING. HIDE YOURSELF.
I have to admit, I’ve become a bit numb to the astrology that’s laced with earnings. Maybe the news cycles have numbed me. Maybe I just don’t care to worry about growing (again?) into something better.
Or maybe I have finally shifted from knowledge into wisdom. (Thanks Pearl Pentacle.)
Knowing that eclipses might stir up energy is one thing; being wise about how to act is another.

The Only Way Out is Through, Eclipse Season
Of course, you do you during this eclipse season.
- We start off with a partial solar eclipse on October 25, 2022.
- And a total lunar eclipse on November 8, 2022.
Imagine seeing an eclipse for the first time in a land without the buildings and bustle of today. Imagine seeing things change. The godds of light and night suddenly change. It would be really scary.
I’d be thinking the end of the world was happening. I would wonder about the crops, the darkness, the judgment from on high. But we now have things like an internet that tells us (too) often when eclipses are coming and how they are shaping our inner and outer worlds.
I guess that could be a bit scarier.
But also, they happen every year. So perhaps they can be seen as opportunities to really dive into the magick of shadows and alignment setting up a change of perspective.
Also, we can be simple about this eclipse time:
- Expect the unexpected – When the perspective of the sky changes, yours can too. Maybe you’ve been dwelling on a certain issue in your life. Maybe you’ve been obsessed about this, that, or the other thing. Just for these days or the time between both eclipses, how can you be open to the unexpected? Can you call out to the surprises and invite them in for a bit? Maybe a surprise you don’t expect is not the thing you want to avoid.
- Nudge your shadow – That thing you don’t want to deal with? Maybe this is the time to name it. You don’t have to ask for it to TEACH YOU ALL THE THINGS, but you could start to think about what sorts of shadows are acting up in your world. That thing you’re doing right now that you want to stop? Think about where it comes from. That thing that you’re embarrassed by? Where did that feeling come from? How does it impact your life? Maybe this is the season for shadow stalking or hunting or whatever sounds best to you. You just have to track the shadows. Later, you can dance with them.
- Chill out – But the best magick is the one where you care for yourself. Things might feel icky and bumpy. People might be icky and sticky. So, take a few extra breaths. Take an extra nap. Set down the need to be amazing for just a minute. Relax into how the world moves and changes no matter what we do. There’s magick in the way you can slow down, and things can align around you too.
My intuition tells me that things will be a little…interesting for a minute. So, join me in curiosity, for sure. But you can leave the scaries for another day.
